Predictors of young people’s use of sexual and reproductive health services in Nigeria: a mixed-method approach

Abstract Background Sexual and Reproductive health Services (SRHS) are essential for the prevention control of SRH problems among young people achievement sustainable development goal 3. These services may be available but certain factors interfere with their access utilization by people. This study sought to determine that predict SRHS in Enugu State, Nigeria. Methods The adopted mixed-method research employing a cross-sectional design. population comprised between ages 12 22 years. A multi-stage sampling procedure was used select 1447 study. questionnaire, in-depth interview, focus group discussion were data collection. Percentages, Chi-square, logistic regression analyse quantitative data, while qualitative thematically analysed using NVivo software. Results Socio-demographic gender, age, education, income, living status ( p = < .05) significant predictors SRHS. Psycho-cultural system also Conclusion concluded some socio-demographic (of level status), psycho-cultural, can people’s could addressed through home sex regular training care providers on youth-friendly delivery, policy reforms.
